About The IT Trainer and STG:

STG’s Financial Director Simon Lazenby, who has previously worked alongside both of the The IT Trainer Directors, and knew of their professional capability, got in touch to discuss IT training projects to be delivered on location and at their principal offices.  Simon was specifically looking for a supplier who would design the sessions to be tailored to STG employees’ specific development needs and levels of expertise.  The sessions were planned following a detailed Training Needs Analysis (TNA), which ensured that each of the delegates was either included as part of an appropriate level workshop or received 1 to 1 training.

The IT Trainer initially delivered 9 hours of 1 to 1 training for STG Managers in the Microsoft Office Suite, as a pilot project in December 2014.  The project was extremely successful and this led to a roll out of two specific projects which ran from January to April 2015.  The first of these projects provided 13 days on-site training to Site Managers across the North of England and required us to train several Microsoft Office products at a level appropriate to each of the Managers.  The second project was the delivery of 16 half-day workshops at the Leeds and Manchester locations, covering Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook at Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced levels.  After the success of these two training projects, discussions are currently taking place with Senior Management at STG for further training to be undertaken.
